30k Space Marines

I got the Betrayal at Calth boxset for my birthday in January, and just finished my first unit, a squad of tactical marine painted in Ultramarine livery. Nice figures!

Team Yankee unit cards for the 4CMBG

I played around with Powerpoint today and created my own Canadian unit cards for Team Yankee, representing elements of the 4th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (Tanks from the Royal Canadian Dragoons, infantry from the Princess Pats). I statted them out using similar vehicles and assumed the crews and infantry would have stats like the British - so considered highly trained. Let me know what you think.

10mm Early War Germans

A batch of 10mm Pendraken early war Germans to fill out the side for a game I will be hosting at our next club night in St. Alberta.

Eisenhorn!

I splurged on the GW 40k Inquisitor Eisenhorn figure for my Cadian army. Needed a psyker, this dude fits the bill! The figure has nice detail - but I really don't like FineCast material. It seems strangely resistant to glue - so a bit of a bugger to assemble cleanly.

40k Wyvern and some 20mm Soviets

I just finished a mobile mortar unit for my Cadian army - thanks to Kevin for the great birthday present! Hope it doesn't make it rain too hard on your Space Marines! The mortars enjoy high rate of fire, don't need line of sight, and re-rolls wounds. Thunk!

Also done are some 20mm Soviet T-70s and tank riders - on a whim after reading some articles about WW2 tank battles in the latest WSS and feeling motivated to put together a skirmish WW2 game. These are PSC T-70s and Hat tank riders in 1/72

10mm French reinforcements

I completed a batch of 10mm WW2 French from Pendraken ordered back in the Fall. I also ordered some decal which I think really make the tanks in their distinctive camo pop.

Plan is to use these for my MayDay game - a scenario based around the battles at either Hannut or Stonne.

Bullgryns and heavy weapons

It's been a while since I have posted - mainly because my laptop augured in and I am awaiting delivery of a new one.

Here is some stuff I have been working on - reinforcements for my 40k Cadian army - some Bullgryns to give my lads something with some respectable melee and defensive ability to take and hold onto objectives (my plan is to drop these guys from the Valkyrie behind enemy lines) and a unit of heavy weapons to punch through space marine armor. The Bullgryn/Ogryn models are really great - tons of character!
