Finished off the Calth box

I finished the Betrayal at Calth box set with the last batch here of marines, a dreadnought and a praetor. These guys are done in Wordbearers livery. I magnetized the right arm of the dreadnought so it can be either armed with an autocannon or a multimelta.

Terminators!

Of the 40k kind, or more accurately, of the 30k kind, from the Calth box set. Five Cataphractii Terminators and a Captain in Terminator armour, all done in Ultramarine livery. Now I am working on the Wordbearers.

Scions!

I just finished a command squad of Tempestus Scions with a Tempestor Prime (in the leather coat), all in berets. These guys are armed to hilt - kitted out with a hot-shot volley gun, plasma rifle, melta, and hot-shot lasgun. I have two minds for how to use them - they can do grav-chute insertion to take objectives or commit other nefarious deeds in the enemy rear, or they could ride shotgun with Eisenhorn perhaps in a pimped outTaurox Prime (coming soon). In either case, I think they look pretty cool!

30k Space Marines

I got the Betrayal at Calth boxset for my birthday in January, and just finished my first unit, a squad of tactical marine painted in Ultramarine livery. Nice figures!

Team Yankee unit cards for the 4CMBG

I played around with Powerpoint today and created my own Canadian unit cards for Team Yankee, representing elements of the 4th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (Tanks from the Royal Canadian Dragoons, infantry from the Princess Pats). I statted them out using similar vehicles and assumed the crews and infantry would have stats like the British - so considered highly trained. Let me know what you think.

Eisenhorn!

I splurged on the GW 40k Inquisitor Eisenhorn figure for my Cadian army. Needed a psyker, this dude fits the bill! The figure has nice detail - but I really don't like FineCast material. It seems strangely resistant to glue - so a bit of a bugger to assemble cleanly.
