After resisting the temptation to start a WW2 project in yet another scale, I relented and obtained an unpainted 28mm Bolt Action British army from a mate and painted them up. I know a few guys who play and I have always thought the rules were okay - so I'll give it a go.
Nice figs and models in any case.
I also added a couple of 57mm ATGs to my 'Merican FOW army.

Whose your mummy?
A regiment of mummies for my undead KoW army - these are a mix of Reaper Bones and originals. There are some very nice sculpts in here - the pharoah on throne is particularly nice. This is a rock hard infantry unit in Kings of War (Def 5+, CS +2 and Regen 5+).
The individual who could be played as the Cursed Pharoah was a pretty good character but got kinda nerfed in the latest revision when his Def 6+ dropped by one.

Bit of this, bit of that
An eclectic range of figures came off my bench in the past couple of weeks. First off, some Necron conversions - flayed ones and deathmarks converted from warrior bodies - to add a sniper team and some melee to my Necron kill team for the Urban Conquest campaign I have started with a few buddies.
Some ECW commanders, including two different Rupert's, a Lord Byron and a Lord Minimus.
And a bunch of French gendarmes for KoW historical late medieval armies. Nice figures from Foundry.
And a Bolt Action 28mm grenadier test figure.

Royalist ECW Regiments
I have been busy getting ECW troops painted now that I have committed to co-running a big game of King and Parliament in May. Here we have my last regiment of foot, two regiments of horse and some dragoons - all Warlord figures. I reckon I have painted more Warlord ECW figures than any other range. I have sizable Scots, Royalists and Parliament armies, and have painted two other ECW armies for other folks! I know every mm of these guys...

Reaper Bones for KoW and Titans
I took a break from ECW for a week to paint up some of my Reaper Bones models for Kings of War armies. Including some translucent Barry Whites for my Undead army:
And a couple of Cloud/Storm Giants.
And also Adeptus Titanicus strategem markers:
Which reminds me that I forgot to post my completed AT Warlord Titan and maniple of Legio Ignatum now complete:
Meet Polistes Rex, fully magnetized and armed with two volcano cannons:
Battle maniple of the Legio Ignatum - yes I have left the bases plain because I don't have the stuff to do them justice:
A couple of There Wolfs - I need a couple more to make this a Horde strength unit.
And a couple of Cloud/Storm Giants.

ECW Royalists and the Witch King
I am putting a bit of a push on to paint up a Royalist ECW army for the upcoming MayDay game event in Edmonton in 2 months time using King and Parliament rules. Here are two regiments of foot (Warlord Games) done as Rupert's "Blewcoates" and Newcastle's regiment in white. In here is also a Witch King model I did some time ago but forgot to blog - so here he is!

Adeptus mechanicus Titan Warhounds and Blackstone Fortress complete!
I just finished the last models from the Blackstone Fortress WH40k Quest game, and decided to try it out solo to see how it plays. 10h later... I'm really enjoying it - despite the fact that I lost my first adventurer on only the second challenge of the game. My team leader Janis Drake failed to leap across a chasm and died outright (rolled a '1' on the Blackstone dice!). I almost decided to reboot and chalk it up to beginners bad luck - but then figured I should just go for it. Now I am on our 3rd expedition on the way to take out our first Stronghold feeling good about it. We'll see...
Here are the models - 4 negavolt cultists
2 rogue psykers
Chaos beastmen
Obsidius Mallex and a couple of Chaos Space Marines (scary dudes...)
Pious Vorne and Amallyn Shadowguide - I am using both of these in my campaign.
And I also finished two more Adeptus Titanicus 6mm Titan Warhound Scouts - Vespula Ignis (Fire Wasp - so named for it's inferno gun) and Vespula Perforo (Piercing Wasp - so named for it's plasma gun). Can't wait to play this game - the Warlord is the next addition.
