Working towards hosting a game later this Fall:
220 Rebs with a couple of guns
And another 220 Yanks
Here we have some War Mammoths - which are great models but complete rubbish in ASOIAF, and some Thenn Warriors to round out my Free Folk for now.I think they were designed for contrast paint!
And three frames of the Epic ACW starter set from Warlord games. 300 done, another 2100 to go! But hey - troops on strips paint up pretty quick. I used contrast paints on the Rebs and conventional style on the Yanks.
We finished the move including a hiatus in a rental place for a while before finally making the cross-country trek. I brought some ASOIAF stuff along with me during the period of upheaval and a paint kit, and managed to do the Targaryen starter set and a few extras for ASOIAF. All done by contrast paints - I have mixed feelings on how they performed on horses - perhaps too much smooth surface area - but they work well on flesh, hides and fabrics. Looking forward to dragons and unsullied eventually.
Lighting on these is terrible I know - I am not set up for much in the way of hobby space yet. Most of it is still packed away in boxes in the basement which awaits renovation.
We're packing up to move so it may be a while before I get anything back off the table, so here is my last contribution of the ASOIAF project, the Kingsguard featuring that ripe little shit Joffry Baratheon beside big brother Jaime.
I have continued working on these lovely ASOIAF models - completing my Stark army:
