More Bolt Action Soviets and FOW Germans

Finished these about a week ago and didn't get around to posting them.

First I did a couple of heavy Sdkfz 231 armored cars and panzerschrek teams for my late war Flames of War army.

And I also finished another batch of Soviets for Bolt Action, including a T34-76, a couple of ATGs by PSC, and another squad or so of Siberian veterans. 

Bolt Action Soviets and Cadian conversions

I finished two squads of Bolt Action Soviets - Siberian veterans - these have been fun to do with quite a bit of character.

I also used some of the squatting figures to build Cadian crewmen for a mortar platoon. The Astra Militarum heavy weapons box includes only enough crew for 3 teams, but weapons to do 6. So I used Soviet bodies with Cadian arms to fill them out. Works from 3 feet away!

Warlord Games Successor Starter Army complete

I managed to finish off my Successor army over the past couple of weeks. Here we have the lovely elephant, another horde of phalangists, Companion cavlary and some leftover Persian horse archers who will do for Dahae/Scythian types. I think the Persians are A&A? Got them in a mixed lot a few years back. The starter kit was very good value with nice models. I am planning this for Kings of War.

And also a few more bits for my Late War FOW army - a couple of kitty-cats and a troop of Wespe mobile artillery.

More Necrons

My buddy Steve passed on a bunch of older Necrons models to reinforce my collection. They were already assembled and part painted, so I finished a bunch of them in my turquoise scheme to match my existing army. There is a Ghost Ark, a squadron of destroyers, some warriors that I converted to Deathmarks, a bunch of Scarabs, a couple of characters and three Immortals. There is also a Gauss Pylon at the back that I picked up from TTCombat (it's actually a laser cut wood model).

I still managed to lose my last game to Eliot's Dark Eldar, thanks to drawing miserably useless tactical objective cards.

Soviets for Bolt Action

As part of a commission for a chum I painted a crapton of Soviet infantry - naval brigade and regulars - shown here. The figures are mostly from Warlord with a few Black Tree and Plastic Soldier mixed in.

Well, here he is, in 15mm scale by Zvezda:

With two platoons of PzIVH tanks - Battlefront in the foreground, PSC in the background. The Battlefront models are beefier, taller and have better raised detail.
